Description

Traditional slow cooker mashed potatoes with butter and cream deliver a rich, smooth, and comforting side dish perfect for any meal.


Ingredients

  • pounds potatoes, peeled and cut
  • 1 cup chicken or vegetable broth
  • 6 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • Optional: ¼ cup sour cream, fresh chives

Instructions

1. Peel and cut potatoes evenly.

2. Place potatoes in slow cooker.

3. Pour in broth and add butter and garlic.

4. Cover and cook on low for 6–7 hours.

5. Mash potatoes directly in the slow cooker.

6. Slowly add cream while mashing.

7. Season with salt and pepper.

8. Keep warm until serving.
