Ingredients
- 2 pounds Yukon Gold potatoes, peeled and chopped
- 1 cup chicken or vegetable broth
- 5 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 4–5 cloves garlic, minced
- ¾ cup milk or heavy cream
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- ¼ cup sour cream (optional)
- ¼ cup Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions
1. Peel and chop potatoes evenly.
2. Place potatoes in crockpot.
3. Pour broth over potatoes.
4. Add butter and garlic on top.
5. Cook on low 6–7 hours or high 3–4 hours.
6. Mash potatoes directly in crockpot.
7. Add milk or cream gradually while mashing.
8. Season with salt and pepper.
9. Mix in sour cream or Parmesan if desired.
10. Serve warm.
