Description
Creamy one pot beef pasta shells recipe – an easy weeknight dinner with seasoned ground beef, tender pasta shells, and rich cheesy cream sauce.
Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 500 grams ground beef
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cups pasta shells
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 cup milk
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tablespoon tomato paste
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon oregano
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- Optional: chili flakes, spinach or peas, parsley
Instructions
1. Heat olive oil in a large pot. Cook ground beef until browned. Season and drain excess fat if needed.
2. Add onion and cook for 3–4 minutes until soft. Stir in garlic and cook 1 minute.
3. Mix in tomato paste, paprika, and oregano. Stir well for 1 minute.
4. Add pasta shells, beef broth, and milk. Stir and bring to a simmer.
5. Cover partially and cook for 10–12 minutes, stirring occasionally, until pasta is tender.
6. Reduce heat and stir in cheddar and Parmesan cheese until creamy.
7. Add optional vegetables if using and cook briefly.
8. Adjust seasoning, let rest for a few minutes, and serve warm.
Notes
- Use medium-fat ground beef for best flavor.
- Add cream for extra richness if desired.
- Stir frequently to prevent sticking.
- Reheat with milk or broth to maintain creamy texture.
