- 1 lb fresh green beans
- 3 tbsp unsalted butter
- 4 garlic cloves minced
- 1 small onion chopped
- 1.5 cups broth
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp thyme
Instructions
1. Trim and wash green beans
2. Saute onion in butter until soft
3. Add garlic and cook briefly
4. Place beans in slow cooker
5. Add onion garlic mixture
6. Pour broth and add butter
7. Season and mix lightly
8. Cook on low 5-7 hours
9. Adjust seasoning and serve

- Add lemon juice for brightness
- Use frozen beans if needed
