Description
Boursin cheese bruschetta with garlic and fresh basil is a simple appetizer made with toasted baguette slices, creamy herb cheese, juicy tomatoes, and fresh basil.
Ingredients
- 1 French baguette, sliced diagonally
- 4 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil, divided
- 3 cloves garlic, finely minced
- 1 whole garlic clove, for rubbing
- 5 ounces Boursin cheese, garlic and herb flavor
- 1 cup cherry tomatoes, quartered
- 1/4 cup fresh basil leaves, sliced into ribbons
- Salt, to taste
- Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
- Flaky sea salt, optional
Instructions
1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
2. Arrange the baguette slices in a single layer on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
3. Brush each slice lightly with olive oil.
4. Bake for 6 to 8 minutes until lightly golden and crisp.
5. Remove from the oven and rub each warm slice with the whole garlic clove.
6. Spread Boursin cheese over each toasted slice.
7. In a small bowl, combine cherry tomatoes, remaining olive oil, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper.
8. Spoon the tomato mixture over the cheese-covered bread slices.
9. Top with fresh basil ribbons and optional flaky sea salt.
10. Serve immediately.
