Description

This pulled chicken sandwich is juicy, smoky, and slow-cooked to perfection. A family-favorite that’s easy to prep and even easier to love.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1.5 pounds chicken breast
  • ½ cup BBQ sauce
  • ⅓ cup water
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 small jalapeño (2 tbsp chopped)
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • ½ tsp ground cumin
  • ½ tsp chili powder
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • ¼ tsp salt

Instructions

  1. Add BBQ sauce, water, Dijon mustard, jalapeño, garlic, smoked paprika, cumin, chili powder, salt, and pepper to the slow cooker and stir to combine.
  2. Add chicken breast and coat well with the mixture.
  3. Cook on LOW for 6–7 hours or HIGH for 3–4 hours.
  4. Shred chicken in crock pot and mix well with sauce.
  5. Serve hot on buns with toppings of choice.

Notes

Smoked paprika gives a deeper flavor—use regular paprika if needed.

Top with slaw, pickled onions, or fermented veggies.

Store in fridge up to 4 days or freeze for 3 months.
