One Pan Healthy Turkey Sweet Potato Skillet is a quick, nutritious, and flavorful meal made with lean ground turkey, tender sweet potatoes, and fresh vegetables. Perfect for busy weeknights and meal prep.
Ingredients
- 2 cups ground turkey
- 2 medium sweet potatoes, peeled and diced
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 small onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp cumin
- 1/2 tsp dried oregano
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 1 bell pepper, chopped
- 1 cup spinach or kale
- Optional: parsley, cilantro, feta cheese, chili flakes
Instructions
1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
2. Add diced sweet potatoes and cook for 8–10 minutes until slightly tender and golden.
3. Add diced onion and cook until soft, then stir in minced garlic.
4. Add ground turkey and cook until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks.
5. Season with paprika, cumin, oregano, salt, and pepper, and mix well.
6. Add chopped bell pepper and cook for 3–4 minutes until tender.
7. Stir in spinach or kale and let it wilt.
8. Cook for a few more minutes to blend flavors.
9. Remove from heat and garnish with optional toppings.
10. Serve warm directly from the skillet.

- Swap sweet potatoes with regular potatoes or butternut squash.
- Add cayenne or smoked paprika for extra spice.
