Description
Longhorn Parmesan Crusted Chicken copycat made with juicy marinated chicken, creamy ranch topping, and a crispy golden Parmesan crust. A restaurant-style comfort meal made easily at home.
Ingredients
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1/2 cup buttermilk
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 cup ranch dressing
- 1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 cup shredded provolone cheese
- 1/2 cup panko breadcrumbs
- 1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
Instructions
1. Pound chicken breasts to even thickness
2. Mix buttermilk, olive oil, and seasonings
3. Coat chicken and marinate for at least 30 minutes
4. Preheat grill pan or skillet over medium heat
5. Cook chicken 6–7 minutes per side until golden and cooked through
6. Transfer chicken to a baking dish
7. Preheat oven broiler
8. Mix ranch dressing, Parmesan, and provolone cheese
9. Spread mixture over chicken
10. Combine breadcrumbs, Parmesan, melted butter, and garlic powder
11. Sprinkle crumb mixture over chicken and press lightly
12. Broil for 3–5 minutes until golden and crispy
13. Remove from oven, rest briefly, and serve
Notes
- Do not overcook chicken before broiling
- Bake at 425°F if no broiler is available
- Substitute mozzarella for provolone if needed
- Use light ranch for a lighter version
- Serve with mashed potatoes, vegetables, or salad
