Description

This Limoncello Tiramisu is a bright, creamy twist on the classic Italian dessert—no coffee, no cocoa, just lemony layers and mascarpone bliss.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2024 ladyfingers (Savoiardi)
  • 1/2 cup Limoncello
  • 1/4 cup water or lemon juice
  • 1 1/2 cups heavy cream (cold)
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 8 oz mascarpone cheese (chilled)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Zest of 1 lemon
  • Optional garnish: lemon curls, white chocolate, powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Whip heavy cream until soft peaks form. Set aside.
  2. In another bowl, whisk mascarpone, powdered sugar, lemon zest, and vanilla until smooth.
  3. Gently fold the whipped cream into the mascarpone mixture until combined.
  4. Mix Limoncello with water or lemon juice in a shallow dish.
  5. Dip ladyfingers quickly (1 second per side) into the mixture.
  6. Layer dipped ladyfingers in a dish, followed by half of the mascarpone mixture.
  7. Repeat with a second layer of soaked ladyfingers and remaining mascarpone.
  8. Smooth the top and cover.
  9. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight.
  10. Garnish with lemon curls, powdered sugar, or white chocolate before serving.

Notes

Make this recipe alcohol-free by using a lemon simple syrup instead of Limoncello.

For individual servings, layer in jars or ramekins.

Letting it chill overnight intensifies the flavor.
