Easy Smash Burger Tacos

Ingredients:

For the tacos:

  • 500g (1 lb) ground beef
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 6 small flour tortillas
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil (for cooking)

For toppings (feel free to customize):

  • Shredded lettuce
  • Sliced tomatoes
  • Sliced pickles
  • Sliced red onions
  • Shredded cheddar cheese
  • Burger sauce or mayo + ketchup mix

Directions:

  1. Season the ground beef with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Divide into 6 equal balls.
  2. Place each tortilla on a flat surface. Press a beef ball onto one side of each tortilla, spreading it thin and flat.
  3. Heat a skillet or griddle over medium-high heat with a little oil. Place the tortilla beef-side down and press with a spatula to smash it thin.
  4. Cook for 2–3 minutes until the beef is crispy and browned, then flip and toast the tortilla side briefly.
  5. Remove from heat, add cheese if using, and top with lettuce, pickles, onions, and sauce.
  6. Fold and serve hot like a taco — crispy, juicy, and full of flavor!
