Description
Dubai chocolate strawberries are a viral Middle Eastern-inspired dessert featuring fresh strawberries dipped in rich chocolate and coated in crisp shredded kataifi pastry. They’re luxurious, crunchy, and surprisingly easy to make at home.
Ingredients
- 12 large fresh strawberries
- 1 cup high-quality dark chocolate (chopped or chips)
- 1 cup kataifi pastry (or shredded phyllo dough)
- 2 tbsp melted butter or olive oil
- Optional toppings: pistachio butter, crushed nuts, edible flowers
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Pull apart kataifi pastry and spread on a baking sheet. Drizzle with melted butter and bake for 10–12 minutes until golden.
2. Wash and thoroughly dry strawberries.
3. Melt chocolate in a double boiler or microwave in 30-second intervals until smooth.
4. Dip each strawberry in melted chocolate, covering ¾ of the berry.
5. Immediately roll or sprinkle with cooled kataifi to coat the chocolate.
6. Place on parchment-lined tray and refrigerate 15–20 minutes to set.
7. Serve chilled or slightly warmed with optional toppings.
Notes
For vegan version, use dairy-free chocolate and coconut oil instead of butter.
For extra crunch, serve strawberries within 24 hours.
Add crushed pistachios or a drizzle of white chocolate for extra flavor and presentation.
