Enjoy crispy air fryer sweet chili chicken thighs with rice, a quick and flavorful dinner featuring juicy chicken, bold glaze, and fluffy rice.
Ingredients
- 6 chicken thighs bone-in or boneless
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 cup sweet chili sauce
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp honey
- 1 tsp rice vinegar
- 1 tsp minced garlic
- 2 cups long grain rice
- 4 cups water or chicken broth
- 1/2 tsp salt
- Green onions sliced
- Sesame seeds
Instructions
1. Rinse rice until water runs clear
2. Cook rice with water or broth and salt for 15 minutes then rest 5 minutes
3. Pat chicken thighs dry thoroughly
4. Mix oil salt pepper garlic powder paprika and onion powder
5. Coat chicken evenly with seasoning
6. Preheat air fryer to 200C or 400F
7. Place chicken in basket without overcrowding
8. Cook for 18 to 22 minutes flipping halfway
9. Mix sweet chili sauce soy sauce honey vinegar and garlic
10. Remove chicken and coat with glaze
11. Air fry again for 2 to 3 minutes to caramelize
12. Serve chicken over rice and garnish with green onions and sesame seeds

- Use chicken thighs for best flavor and juiciness
- Do not overcrowd air fryer for crisp texture
- Adjust sweetness or heat in glaze as preferred
- Use broth instead of water for more flavorful rice
