Ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon salt

  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 (28-ounce) can crushed tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream (or coconut cream)
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

Instructions

1. Season chicken with salt, pepper, oregano, and paprika.

2. Heat olive oil in a skillet and brown chicken for 2 minutes per side.

3. Transfer chicken to the crockpot.

4. In the same skillet, sauté garlic until fragrant.

5. Add crushed tomatoes and chicken broth, then stir.

6. Pour the tomato mixture over the chicken in the crockpot.

7. Cover and cook on low for 4 hours or high for 2 hours.

8. Stir in heavy cream and fresh basil.

9. Cook for an additional 15 minutes on low.

10. Taste, adjust seasoning, and serve hot.
