Description

This creamy Marry Me Chicken Orzo is a rich, one-pan dinner with tender chicken, silky orzo, and a flavorful Parmesan cream sauce with sun-dried tomatoes.

Ingredients

Scale

Main Ingredients:

1 1/2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts

2 tablespoons olive oil

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon paprika

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Salt, to taste

Orzo & Sauce:

1 cup dry orzo pasta

2 1/2 cups chicken broth

3/4 cup heavy cream

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1/2 cup sun-dried tomatoes, chopped

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

Garnish (Optional):

Fresh basil or parsley

Extra Parmesan cheese

Instructions

1. Pat chicken dry and season both sides with salt, pepper, and paprika.

2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and sear chicken 4–5 minutes per side until golden. Remove and set aside.

3. Reduce heat to medium and sauté garlic until fragrant.

4. Add orzo, chicken broth, Italian seasoning, and sun-dried tomatoes. Stir and bring to a simmer.

5. Pour in heavy cream and mix well.

6. Return chicken to the pan and nestle into the orzo.

7. Cover and cook for 12–15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until orzo is tender and chicken is cooked through.

8. Stir in Parmesan cheese until melted and creamy.

9. Garnish with fresh herbs and extra Parmesan, then serve warm.

Notes

Use freshly grated Parmesan for best flavor and texture.

Do not overcook orzo to keep it creamy.

Adjust consistency with extra broth if needed.

Store leftovers in fridge up to 3 days.

Reheat gently with a splash of broth or cream.
