Description
A rich, flavorful creamy garlic parmesan chicken pasta with tender seared chicken, silky garlic-parmesan sauce, and fresh parsley. Ready in under 30 minutes for the perfect weeknight or special occasion meal.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 chicken breasts, cut in half lengthwise
- Salt & pepper to taste
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 tablespoon flour
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup chicken broth or dry white wine
- 1 cup heavy/whipping cream
- 1/2 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions
- Cut the chicken in half lengthwise so you have 4 thinner pieces. Season them generously on both sides with salt & pepper and garlic powder.
- Add olive oil and butter to a skillet over medium-high heat and let it heat for a few minutes.
- Cook the chicken for about 5-6 minutes per side or until seared and cooked through. Transfer chicken to a plate and tent with foil.
- Turn heat back to medium-high. Add flour and garlic to skillet, cooking for about a minute while stirring.
- Pour in chicken broth and whisk until flour dissolves; reduce by half.
- Stir in cream, let it bubble gently until thickened to your preference.
- Remove from heat, stir in parmesan until melted.
- Return chicken to skillet, spoon sauce over top, season if needed, and sprinkle parsley before serving.
Notes
Use an instant-read thermometer to check chicken reaches 165°F.
Substitute half-and-half for a lighter version, simmer longer to thicken.
Pairs well with garlic bread or a fresh salad.
