Description
Creami protein ice cream is a smooth, rich, high-protein dessert that’s easy to make at home with simple ingredients and no added sugar.
Ingredients
1 cup unsweetened almond milk
1/2 cup cottage cheese
1 scoop vanilla protein powder (or unflavored)
1/2 small banana, mashed
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/8 teaspoon xanthan gum (optional, for texture)
1 tablespoon almond butter (optional for richness)
Mix-ins: chopped pistachios, dark chocolate chips (optional)
Instructions
1. Add all base ingredients (almond milk, cottage cheese, protein powder, banana, vanilla, xanthan gum, almond butter) into a blender.
2. Blend until smooth and creamy, scraping down the sides as needed.
3. Pour mixture into Creami pint container and freeze until solid (at least 12 hours).
4. Run the frozen base through your Creami machine, using the ice cream or lite ice cream setting.
5. If the texture is crumbly, add a splash of almond milk and re-spin for perfect creaminess.
6. Stir in optional mix-ins like pistachios or chocolate chips if desired. Serve immediately or refreeze with parchment on top.
Notes
You can swap almond milk for oat or coconut milk if preferred.
For dairy-free, use pea or rice protein powder and omit cottage cheese.
Store in the freezer covered with parchment or plastic wrap for up to 2 weeks for best texture.
